Braising Greens are a quick, seasonal harvest for Spade & Plow Organics. This time of year, fall bunching greens start to pitter out. Rainbow chard, collard greens, curly kale, and dino kale continue to grow and produce beautiful colors out in the field; however, they do not reach their full size because of the cooler weather and age of the plants. While hardy, bunching greens may not have enough energy to produce full-size leaves. Instead, they present us with sweet and tender baby leaves during the cool, frosty weeks of the season. Our braising mix features seasonal radicchios -a farm favorite as it creates a pop of color on the darker greens surrounding the winter solstice.  The vibrant mix of different crops makes for a very versatile mix that is packed with flavor and nutrients.
